Our Vigno

Born in the Coastal Drylands of Cauquenes, this wine comes from ancient, head-trained vines planted over 65 years ago, relying solely on rainfall for water. These unique characteristics allow us to be part of VIGNO, an association of Carignan winegrowers committed to the land, nature, and the people of the Maule drylands.

History

Our story began in 1990 when three good friends decided to plant their first vineyards on family land. Then, in 2001, they embarked on a process of renovating and expanding an old winery, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to craft fine wines that reflect the quality of our vineyards. In January 2003, Casas Patronales began marketing its wines in Chile and around the world.

The Antiguas Casas Patronales, or traditional estate houses, a symbol of Chilean rural heritage, inspired the name of our winery: Casas Patronales. Located in the Maule Valley, specifically in the San Clemente area, these estate houses once received the finest products harvested from the land. What was not consumed in the homes was sold locally, establishing a deep-rooted tradition—only the best grapes make their way to Casas Patronales.
